Gold Rate Today, 30 October 2026: 24K, 22K, 18K by City

Friday, 30 October 2026 | Checked at 8:22 AM IST. These are indicative retail gold prices from dated city listings, not a fixed quote from any particular jeweller. Source pages may be updated again during the day.

Gold rate today: In Mumbai, Goodreturns lists 24K gold at ₹14,394 per gram and 22K at ₹13,194 per gram for 30 October 2026. Delhi and Lucknow are listed ₹15 per gram higher for both purities. The provider’s latest dated historical table shows a modest ₹1-per-gram decline from 29 October, rather than a broad market move. Buyers should compare the full invoice, not just the headline rate.

Gold rate today, 30 October: 24K, 22K and 18K per gram

The table below uses one provider, Goodreturns, across all four cities. All values are in Indian rupees per gram, before GST, making charges and other applicable levies.

Chennai₹14,394₹13,194₹10,795
Lucknow₹14,409₹13,209₹10,810

Gold price change since 29 October: what today’s source shows

Goodreturns’ currently displayed Mumbai history puts 24K at ₹14,395 per gram on 29 October and ₹14,394 on 30 October. The corresponding 22K figures are ₹13,195 and ₹13,194. On that basis, each purity is ₹1 per gram lower, or ₹10 less per 10 grams. The same source’s Delhi and Lucknow histories show a ₹1-per-gram fall for 24K and 22K.

This comparison is limited to Goodreturns’ current historical series. A price captured early on 29 October can differ from the provider’s subsequently revised historical value. We are not treating the change as a verified movement at every jewellery counter or attributing it to an unverified market event.

Why another gold-rate website can show a different number

Different sites may update at different hours or use different retail assumptions. As an independent same-date cross-check, Pricekeeda’s 30 October city table lists Mumbai 24K at ₹1,43,950 per 10 grams and 22K at ₹1,31,950. Goodreturns lists ₹1,43,940 and ₹1,31,940 respectively. That is a ₹10 difference per 10 grams. These independent figures are not mixed or averaged into our primary tables.

Before comparing prices, check the date, time, purity, unit, location and whether a site is reporting an indicative retail price, an actual jeweller’s quote, a bullion benchmark or an exchange-traded contract. A page labelled “today” can still contain yesterday’s underlying data.

IBJA’s morning bullion benchmark is not this retail price

The India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) publishes a separate AM/PM benchmark series, typically in rupees per 10 grams, excluding GST and making charges. At this 8:22 AM check on 30 October, its site still showed 29 October as the latest dated session and indicated that new rates would be uploaded later. It would therefore be incorrect to label yesterday’s IBJA figures as today’s morning benchmark. The city prices above are a different source and methodology.

What a buyer actually pays: gold price is only the starting point

Suppose you are considering a 10-gram 22K item in Mumbai. At today’s indicative ₹13,194 per gram, the listed metal value is ₹1,31,940. That is not a promised shop price and not the final amount on a bill. A jeweller may use a different gold rate and add making charges, applicable GST, and separately priced stones or components.

Ask the jeweller to identify the gold’s net weight separately from any stones, specify the purity (for example 916 for 22K), and explain whether making charges are a fixed amount or a percentage. Compare final payable totals for items of similar weight and purity; a shop with a lower metal rate may still charge more overall.

For hallmarked jewellery, inspect the BIS mark and HUID where applicable, and verify the item details rather than relying on a shop signboard. Our gold hallmark, HUID and invoice checklist explains the steps. The Bureau of Indian Standards is the official reference for hallmarking guidance.

24K, 22K and 18K: which purity are you comparing?

24K generally denotes near-pure gold and is commonly quoted for bullion and coins. 22K is about 91.6% gold, often used for traditional jewellery, while 18K contains 75% gold and is used in various jewellery designs. Purity changes the metal content and base price. A fair comparison starts by checking the purity on the actual product rather than comparing different-karat prices as if they were equivalent.
